Empowering women through self-defense

In a world where safety is not always guaranteed, self-defense workshops are not just a skillset but a necessity for every woman. These workshops go beyond physical techniques—they build confidence, awareness, and resilience. Knowing how to protect yourself in difficult situations can be life-changing, offering a sense of security that empowers women to navigate their lives fearlessly. Self-defense is not about seeking confrontation; it’s about preparation, recognizing potential dangers, and acting decisively to stay safe. For women, it’s an essential tool for reclaiming autonomy and control, especially in environments where vulnerability is heightened. Through our workshops, women gain practical skills, mental clarity, and the confidence to protect themselves and others when it matters most.

On Women’s Day, I was filled with gratitude for the journey I have taken. It has allowed me to empower women from diverse backgrounds and capabilities. My path began in Canada, where I honed my skills. It made me want to return home to Lebanon to share what I had learned.
Now I make new connections every day and in a sport dominated by men we are carving out our space.
Together, we rise. Together, we shatter barriers. Together, we redefine what it means to be a woman.

Women’s Day Workshop

Preventing violence against women

Train to equip yourself with self-defense in tough situations. This past weekend I had the pleasure to give a private workshop for these amazing women.

Empowered and inspired!

I had the pleasure of giving an introductory jiu-jitsu workshop to 10 amazing women. Not only does Jiu-Jitsu promote self-defense and physical fitness, but it also builds strong communities, boosts self-esteem, and enhances problem-solving abilities- thinking quickly under pressure. Seeing these incredible women having a blast, training, and learning was as much fun for me as it was for them.
